About Us
Reno Concerts, formerly Washoe County Concerts, is the oldest performing arts presenter in Nevada and an all volunteer organization. Started in 1934, Reno Concerts has changed from just being an entertainment venue to an educational organization, providing musical opportunities to thousands of students every year.
Our mission
• To enhance the arts in Truckee Meadows and to broaden the musical appreciation of local residents by celebrating culturally diverse music, and bringing international artists as well as American performers to our community so that all may celebrate a wide range of music and enjoy the experience at an affordable price.
• To give outstanding young musicians an opportunity to perform outside the traditional recital experience. To encourage and celebrate outstanding local young musicians by providing them a performance venue. To provide a concert and interactive experience at local schools with professional musicians. To support local school music programs.
• In doing so, we provide community members with exposure and introductions to musical styles and artists that they may not be aware of, or may not be represented in the local area. It is our hope that our audience can come to appreciate, take pleasure in, and value all types of musical genres and cultures.
Our Vision
• A setting where the audience reflects the diversity of our community, and individuals are excited and enthusiastic about listening to quality music from all over the world, as well as that of the United States. A setting where young people are engaged in musical studies that include appreciation and performance.

• offer our K-12 kids free musical opportunities and educational outreach, and making discounted prices available to seniors and students.
• assure that not only do your performers provide an evening of great entertainment, but that they visit a local school to demonstrate their craft and interact with students in a setting of music appreciation.
• provide a venue where young people can become acquainted with the arts and professional artists. Many of our outreach students have never met a professional musician or attended a live musical performance — your membership makes a difference.
